yt-pubx — Publish videos on YouTube with one command
Publishes videos across multiple YouTube channels, creating the title, description, tags, and thumbnail, with a scheduling option.
yt-pubx is a program that publishes YouTube videos with a command. It prepares a title, description, tags, and thumbnail from a short text or the video's captions. The thumbnail is the cover image shown with the video. The tool can work with multiple channels and also lets you schedule posts.
For people who publish regularly, yt-pubx brings together tasks that would otherwise be done by hand. You provide the video and context, choose the channel, and can review the material before uploading. The test option shows what will be published without sending it; a plan then lets you publish exactly the content you reviewed. Configuration files, tokens, and records stay on your own machine.
To get started, you need Python, Codex CLI signed in to your ChatGPT account, and a Google Cloud project with the YouTube Data API enabled. Configuration and authorization are done for each channel. Before publishing, review the title, description, and thumbnail using the test option. Also note that custom thumbnails require a channel verified by phone, and the API has a daily quota limit.
