Decisions × Jev — Compare the tools and convert questions
Compares the Decisions API with Jev for image, refusal, price, and latency, and converts questions between their formats with a Python bridge.
OpenAI’s Decisions API and Jev are tools that choose an answer from defined options, such as yes or no, an item from a list, or a score. The project compares how each handles text, images, refusals, price, and response time, using identified sources.
For users, the main difference is the type of input and how each tool responds. Decisions API accepts text and images; Jev accepts text only. The Python bridge converts questions between the two formats and displays the answers side by side. This makes it possible to compare both systems without rewriting the question.
To get started, run the offline demonstration, which uses three fictional cases and simulated answers. It does not require keys. Before making a live comparison, note that this mode calls the APIs and may incur costs; the project has not run it yet. The price and latency results cited come from third-party tests with a small number of questions, not measurements by the project.
