5-mods: five ready-to-use mods for Claude Code
Includes features to save cache, record sessions, track /goal progress, prevent collisions and suggest next steps.
5-mods brings together five ready-to-use modules for Claude Code: Cache Keeper, Recording Mode, Goal Meter, Collision Guard, and Next Steps. A mod is a small add-on that can show information on screen, create commands, and ask before an action. The five run locally and store data in the user’s folder; none makes its own internet calls.
For Claude Code users, each mod helps with a different part of the work. Cache Keeper shows the cache status and helps keep long chats warm. Recording Mode hides sensitive data on screen during a recording. Goal Meter tracks progress toward a goal. Collision Guard warns when another chat has recently changed a file. Next Steps suggests follow-up prompts at the end of a response. The modules can be turned on or off without uninstalling them.
To get started, you need a recent version of Claude Code and access to mods on your account. The guide presents a four-step manual installation: copy the repository, register it as a marketplace, install the modules you want one at a time, and open a new chat to test. Since mods load when a chat starts, installations and changes appear only in a new conversation. Recording Mode changes what appears on screen, but Claude still receives the real data; review the recording before publishing it.
