trio-skills: Three Engineering Skill Packages Cataloged and Installed for Your Profile

A project that catalogs and installs three engineering skill packages based on your profile.

trio-skills brings together three packages of instructions for programming agents in one repository: those by Addy Osmani and Matt Pocock, and pstack by Lauren Tan. These instructions, called skills, teach tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to work in particular ways. The project organizes 97 skills by work stage and identifies duplicate names across the packages.

For people who code with agents, the project lets them choose a set of skills for a task without installing everything at once. It offers light, medium, and heavy profiles, each with different combinations of instructions. A catalog helps locate skills, and a conflict detector shows duplicate names, including those already installed on the computer. The installer also avoids replacing existing files unless you use the option to force installation.

To get started, you need Git, Python 3, and an agent that can read skills from a folder. After cloning the project, consult the catalog and choose a profile in the perfis folder. Before installing, run the command with the --dry-run option: it shows what will happen without writing files. Also note that some instructions are specific to Cursor or Claude Code, and the project recommends not installing both Matt Pocock’s plugin and its copy at the same time, to avoid duplicates.
