skillmanager3x: Switch Sessions Without Losing the Thread
A handoff project that saves context for using /clear and /prime when switching sessions.
skillmanager3x is a library of ready-made instructions for people who use Claude Code for long work sessions. It includes four skills: one records the conversation’s state in files, another reads that record to prepare the next session, and the others help create checkpoints and review the project’s memory. They are folders containing text files, with no executable code or dependencies.
The goal is to preserve the thread of work when a conversation gets long. Before clearing the session with /clear, handoff records what was done, what is in progress, and the next action. Then /prime reads that file and provides a summary to guide the restart. This replaces copying notes by hand and helps begin the new session with the context organized.
To get started, copy the skill folders to ~/.claude/skills, choose the Portuguese or English files, and check whether they appear in Claude Code’s /skills list. At the end of a session, request a handoff; in the next session, use /prime. Note that an older version of session-handoff only shows the summary in chat and does not save a file: for /prime to find the context, use the version that writes to handoffs/.
