concat: free video editor with AI captions, voice, and backgrounds
concat edits videos with AI features and no watermark.
Concat is an open-source video editor with tools for cutting, captioning, and preparing videos. The source presents it as an alternative to CapCut. It offers automatic captions, AI voice narration, background removal, and effects, with no watermark. The program runs on your computer and does not require an account.
For people making short videos, tutorials, YouTube content, or podcast clips, Concat lets them handle several steps in one editor. Captions, voices, and background removal run on the device itself. After downloading the AI models, these features work offline, and videos are not sent to the cloud.
To get started, download the installer from the official website and install the version for your device. In Settings, download the caption and voice models; a larger caption model may require more from your computer. The version described in the source is still in beta and may have rough edges. The project lists support for Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices.
