Skills v6 — Teach it once, and Claude repeats it your way
An 8-lesson course, with 15 minutes per lesson, on creating your skill in the Claude app without programming.
A skill is a recipe that Claude saves and uses when a request matches it. In Skills v6, you learn to create one of these instructions in the Claude app, without programming. The course has eight lessons of about 15 minutes each, with hands-on practice on a computer and reading that also works on a phone.
A skill can help people who use Claude avoid repeating the same instructions every week. The course teaches you to identify recurring tasks and separate them from one-off cases, general rules, and information that changes. The idea is to create a skill in a conversation with Claude, send it to the app, and use it in a regular request.
To get started, the course recommends hands-on practice: create the skill and test requests with and without it. It also teaches you to correct the instruction in the right place and recognize when to stop adjusting it. The course is for people who already use Claude in a browser and prefer learning by doing.
