Laya INEMA — Local triage in Portuguese with UI, API, CLI and real evaluation

Project providing a full local triage tool in Portuguese, featuring a UI, API, CLI and real‑world testing.

Laya INEMA is a local tool for sorting messages in Portuguese. It is a fork of the official Laya project and offers a browser interface, an API for integration, and terminal use. The model suggests a department, urgency, a possible cancellation threat, and a refund request; a person checks the signals and decides where to route the message.

For people handling messages, the tool brings these four suggestions together in one workflow and lets them try it in a browser or send and receive data in JSON format. The input is checked before the model processes it, and every response goes through human review. The included evaluation records predictions and errors: in a test with 16 synthetic messages, 13 departments were classified correctly. The source emphasizes that this sample is small and does not validate production use.

To get started, you need Python, Git, and space for the model files; the first download also requires an internet connection. A GPU is optional because the default is to use the CPU. The published guide walks through installation and the first local test. When interpreting the results, note that suggestions do not authorize refunds or cancellations, and that next steps depend on using your own data and setting operating criteria.
