Jev Decision Lab: assess a travel offer across 12 profiles

The project evaluates a travel ad once and applies rules to compare the result across 12 profiles.

Jev Decision Lab is an educational lab for exploring structured decisions. It helps organize questions and alternatives so Jev can evaluate a context. The public version presents educational examples with simulated answers; real queries depend on access to TypeSafe. The project also lets you edit a context, export it as JSON, and test local rules with fictional data.

For users, the lab offers a way to try out a workflow before integrating it into a system. The travel package evaluates each ad once and matches the answers, using rules, with twelve fictional profiles. This makes it possible to compare results without making a separate query for each profile. Metrics from this kind of test measure the rules being used, not Jev’s performance.

To get started, choose a case in the browser or install the project locally with Python and Git. Check whether the questions and options represent the decision you want to organize. A valid answer can still be interpreted incorrectly, so keep human review and set limits and permissions in the software. The travel profiles are fictional, and the lab does not send messages, make payments, or control external agents.
