gitbombando: GitHub’s 10 top projects in a daily reel
gitbombando features GitHub’s 10 top projects in a daily reel at 4 p.m., with charts and Nei’s avatar.
gitbombando is an automated series of short videos about projects trending on GitHub. Every day at 4 p.m., it publishes a vertical reel featuring the ten projects that gained the most stars among those on GitHub’s trending page. Each project is presented in simple Portuguese with a card, counter, and chart; the video also features the avatar of presenter Nei Maldaner from INEMA.
For people who want to follow developments in technology and artificial intelligence, the reel offers a way to learn about these projects without reading English or understanding code. The list runs from tenth place to first, and the charts show how the stars grew. On Sundays, there is also a weekly summary; on the first day of the month, a monthly summary.
To get started, note that the selection is based on stars gained during the period by projects that are trending. The order may differ from the trending page, which uses other signals. The daily video comes out at 4 p.m.; each edition also goes through an automatic review of its frames before publication.
