Portal created in 2000 returns after millions of photos and articles are recovered
Its creator is bringing back a portal abandoned in 2014 after recovering more than 11 million photos and 160,000 articles.
INEMA is a digital archive about adventure, sports, and nature in Brazil, with records from 2000 to 2015. Its collection brings together stories and photos of events, trips, competitions, and activities in different regions. The page says it contains millions of photos and thousands of stories, each linked to an album.
For people who follow these subjects, the return makes it possible to revisit stories and images from different times. Full stories and albums, which can be browsed photo by photo, are available to subscribers. People who had an account on the old INEMA can sign in with the same email address.
To get started, look for a subject or year in the archive and check whether the story has an associated album. If you used the old INEMA, try signing in with the email address you used before. The page also says the archive runs through 2015, so the records shown cover that period.
The link opens the original content; some require a subscription.
