StickShift v2: web dashboard and chat for Claude Code and Codex on Linux/WSL
A web dashboard with chat lets users work with Claude Code and Codex on Linux/WSL.
StickShift v2 is a tool for Linux and Windows through WSL that lets you change the model and effort level in Claude Code and Codex. It uses tmux, a program that organizes terminals into panes, to read the screen and send commands. It also offers a web panel with a gear selector and a chat for messaging the selected coding agent.
For people who use Claude Code or Codex, the tool brings model switching, effort adjustment, and prompt sending together in one place. A switch happens only when the agent is idle and the text field is empty. The chat accepts simple prompts only: commands starting with a slash, exclamation mark, or hash sign, and messages with line breaks, are rejected. If the agent asks for permission, the decision is still made in the terminal.
To get started, clone the repository and put the stickshift2 launcher on your PATH; the tool uses Python 3 and requires no additional installation. The list command shows the available panes. Command-line switches are simulations by default; add --commit to carry them out. On Windows, use WSL with tmux: a native Windows version does not exist yet.
