RSI v6.2 — understand and apply AI improvement cycles
The course teaches how to understand and apply improvement cycles in AI.
RSI v6.2 is a course about recursive self-improvement: cycles in which AI helps improve another AI or the system it runs in. The lessons introduce concepts, research, and practices for understanding these steps. The course has six modules, with activities ranging from the fundamentals to a final project.
The course aims to help people working in management or education evaluate routines that use AI, even without a technical background. Participants learn to distinguish reviewing an answer from improving a system and from recursion. They can also compare evidence and plan a pilot, recording criteria, results, costs, and decisions. Applications include customer service, education, and documents.
To get started, look at who proposes a change, who measures its effects, and who approves the result. Before automating, map the cycle and decide how to assess improvements without relying only on a score. For the final project, participants can plan a manual trial or an automation, with a budget and conditions for stopping. The practices are supervised and do not promise to create an autonomous AI or train a new model.
