Prompting de Imagem: think like a cinematographer
A course teaches how to write instructions for AI images using choices inspired by a cinematographer’s work.
The course Prompting de Imagem — Pense como diretor de fotografia teaches learners to replace “prompt luck” with a technical brief for creating images with AI. It covers choices such as shot, lens, light, texture, composition, and style. Each topic pairs the concept with the image it produces, the exact prompt, and guidance on what to observe.
The aim is to help people using AI image tools make visual choices more deliberately. Throughout the course, the same fictional client, the Terra Alta Cafés coffee roastery, accompanies the activities: participants create portraits of barista Lia, product photos, and scenes of the space. In comparisons, edits to the same base image show the effect of changing one variable at a time.
The course has seven modules, with guided practice and assignments at basic and advanced levels. To get started, it recommends choosing a few tools and learning to use them well. It is also useful to observe in each example how the prompt relates to the resulting image and which element changed in the tests. The course ends with a project to build a portfolio.
