A new OS Coach audit covering portable context, permission levels, and long runs.
OS Coach is a skill that helps build the foundation of an agentic system step by step: a set of files and folders that guides AI agents. It asks two or three simple questions about each part and uses the answers to create real files in the chosen folder. The process covers six layers, from Identity to Agents.
For users, the change is having an organized foundation before asking an agent to work with their data. The skill records decisions in memory.md so they can be resumed across sessions, and lets users check progress or create an audit in OS-AUDIT.md. It organizes the structure; it does not carry out users’ day-to-day tasks.
To get started, install Claude Code, copy the os-coach folder into the Claude Code skills folder, and open a folder to turn into the system. Then run /os-coach start to begin answering questions about the goal. Note that fields marked private are not saved with their original values: the skill stores a reference that does not identify the person. You can also check the status, move to the next layer, or audit the whole setup.
