From chat to agent, step 1 — from terminal basics to the VPS (8 lessons)

An 8-lesson course on learning to use the terminal from scratch and reaching the VPS.

The course “Do chat ao agente, degrau 1” teaches terminal use from the beginning through publishing a page and moving the same project to a VPS. It has eight lessons with commands in sequence, checks at each step, exercises, and short tests.

The course aims to help people who use ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini in a browser work with an agent inside their own folder. It shows how to organize files and instructions, keep keys and other secrets out of text, and use Git to save versions and undo changes. It also teaches how to send a project to GitHub and publish a page.

The lessons follow an order: first, learn where you are and how to move between folders; then install the program from its official source and sign in with your account. Next, organize the agent’s context, practice requests that begin with reading before making changes, and set rules you can check. The final lesson covers GitHub Pages and using the same folder on a VPS.
