Congelou — short film with a freeze effect made with Kling AI
The project brings together the short film, prompts, and scripts used to create the freeze effect with Kling AI, and explains how to recreate it.
“Congelou” is a short film, about 38 seconds long, that combines everyday scenes with a time-freeze effect. It follows a sequence that begins with chicken in the oven and includes coffee, a chicken jumping out, and a kitchen in motion. The project brings together the film, the prompts, and the scripts used to create it.
The idea is to show a recipe that can be repeated with a different story. The clips are linked through the last frame of each one, which helps keep the same character, setting, and lighting. Sound is generated along with the images; during the freeze, the scene stops while the camera moves. The scripts also let you redo just one clip if something does not turn out as expected.
To get started, you need the official Kling CLI connected to an account, as well as ffmpeg and Python 3. The opening frame is based on a real photo; each following clip starts from the previous clip’s final frame. Check each clip’s images before continuing. In the freeze prompts, explain why objects are suspended, how the camera moves, and what happens to the sound.
