Claude Session Kit – Statusline with real quota and memory audit
Tool that displays model usage, manages checkpoints, audits memory and hands off tasks to Claude Code.
Claude Session Kit is a set of tools for Claude Code. A status bar shows session context, the five-hour usage quota, the overall weekly quota, and the quota for the model in use. Three features help create checkpoints, review memory, and prepare a handoff of work to another agent.
For Claude Code users, the kit organizes session progress. A checkpoint records the current focus and next steps; the memory audit classifies what to keep, summarize, move, or delete; and the handoff prepares a summary for continuing in another session. The audit only saves changes if the user asks.
To get started, Claude Code must be logged in, and jq and curl are required. The project guide explains how to install the status bar script and skills, and how to test the display. The bar checks the official usage endpoint, with a 300-second cache; the plan’s triggers help decide when to checkpoint, compact, or hand off the session.
